It will be delivered by three renowned samba percussion tutors, whose charismatic and creative teaching style will deliver inspiring results to participants at any playing level.

During this workshop weekend, we will focus on grooves, instrumental techniques, arrangments and inventions of the most traditional baterias from Rio de Janeiro. Our goal is to bring information straight from the source. New ways of playing the samba groove, the latest technique approaches, tuning of the instruments, as well as new ways of playing the turns and repique calls. It’s a workshop with a strong focus on an efficient teaching method which will improve technique, and expand the participant's minds, as well as the musical vocabularies.

Instruments used will be - Surdo, Caixa, Repique, Tamborim, Chocalho and Agogô
